The Bridge
You can choose between the quality Motel rooms or the budget Hotel ones, the latter with shared or en-suite bathrooms, near the Duck River and Smithton town centre, a short drive from Stanley. The Bridge was awarded a Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence in 2016.
Motel rooms are available as Queen, Queen plus Single, Triple, Quad and Family. Hotel rooms with shared facilities are Single, Double/Twin and Double plus Single, while there are also Single and Double/Twin with an en-suite bathroom. Hotel rooms at The Bridge are significantly cheaper than the Motel rooms. Guests have a television and a refrigerator in their rooms, and access to wireless internet. Parking is free at this non-smoking, pet free venue, and children are welcome.
Motel rooms may also include tea and coffee-making equipment, a kitchenette, a toaster and the choice of a shower or bath in the en-suite bathroom.
Among the numerous extras on offer is a laundry service, a well-equipped game room and a daily housekeeping service. The Bridge Bistro is a good place for breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as having a bar, complete with a snooker table. The lounge area has a ceiling fan and a real fireplace during the colder months, as does the cosy dining area. In less than ten minutes’ walking distance there is Lions Park, Circular Head Heritage Centre and Smithton Riverfront Park, with Smithton Country Club around fifteen minutes away. If you drive into nearby Stanley you can explore The Nut, an extinct volcanic plug hole complete with chair lift and panoramic views from the summit.
Situated in Smithton, this motel is within a 10-minute walk of Smithton Riverfront Park and Circular Head Heritage Centre. Duck River Conservation Area and Smithton Country Club are also within 1 mi (2 km).
