Bay of Fires Day Tour

This adventure takes you through some of the island’s most picturesque landscapes, renowned for their crystal-clear waters, stunning white beaches, and striking red granite boulders. As you journey along the coast, you’ll discover why the Bay of Fires is considered one of the world's most beautiful coastal regions. Whether you're walking along the shore or marveling at the vibrant colors of the sea and sky, this tour offers an unforgettable experience that captures the natural splendor of Tasmania.

What You Will See

  • Binalong Bay: A picturesque beach with striking white sand and turquoise waters, perfect for a leisurely walk or a photo opportunity.
  • Bridestowe Lavender Farm: From the beginning of September to the end of March, the first attraction we visit on the tour is the Bridestowe Lavender Farm, home of Bobbie Bear, for views of the lavender paddocks (commercial lavender in full flower mid December to third week of January). Your tour guide will provide an interactive talk on the lavender, where it comes from, why they grow it, how they process it. Then free time for photos and to visit the gift shop / cafe.
  • Legerwood Memorial Tree Carvings: From the beginning of April to the end of August, the first attraction we visit on the tour is Legerwood Memorial Tree Carvings. Planted to celebrate Armistice Day, the end of the Great War. But in 2002 some were showing signs of disease and unfortunately a decision was made that they could not remain. But instead of just cutting them out, the community arranged for a very clever man with a chainsaw to come and remove the long branches and he carved figures into the trees. Each tree is dedicated to a specific World War I soldier who came from the local region.
  • Myrtle Rainforest Walk: Your tour guide will talk about all the different trees found in Tasmania’s rainforests, with this walk showcasing Myrtles, Sassafras, Blackwoods and ManFerns.
  • Bay Of Fires: View the granite rocks covered with orange lichens, then a beach walk along the remote Taylor’s Beach. Fantastic.
