Itinerary
We meet at our kayak shed on the North Esk river (Launceston Seaport) for a briefing and fitting of safety gear
We get the group into our foot powered kayaks and once ready make our way downstream to the junction with the River Tamar (Kanamaluka) your guide will lead the group down the Tamar on the right past the old docks and then cross the river and come back upstream past the yacht basin
The next leg is the scenic stretch under the old kings bridge and into the lower reaches of the Cataract Gorge on the South Esk river. The cliffs on each side make for a stunning back drop and excellent place to take some photos of the experience.
We return to the North Esk river and have a look at some historic buildings before retuning to the kayak pontoon
The order of the tour may sometimes be changed to make the best of the tides and match the abilities and interests of the group as a whole
