Day 1 - Launceston to Wukalina and Krakani Lumi

Your journey begins in Launceston with a warm welcome at the Elders Centre, where you’ll meet your guides and fellow walkers over scones and tea. After collecting your gear and a scenic drive through northeast Tasmania—with stops for coffee and cultural insights—you’ll begin the wukalina Walk with a hike to the summit of wukalina for a picnic lunch. The day ends at the beautifully designed Krakani Lumi camp, where you’ll enjoy dinner, stories by the fire, and a restful sleep in your private hut.

Day 2 - Time on the Coast - Krakani Lumi

Today is spent exploring the cultural richness around Krakani Lumi, beginning with a guided walk along the coastal landscape to learn about traditional Palawa food, medicine, and land practices. After lunch back at camp, you’ll relax and take part in cultural activities led by guides and sometimes an Elder, deepening your connection to Palawa traditions. The day ends with a shared dinner of native foods and time by the fire before another restful night at Krakani Lumi.

Day 3 - Krakani Lumi to Larapuna

After breakfast, you’ll leave Krakani Lumi and walk south along the breathtaking coastline toward Larapuna (Bay of Fires), passing red-lichen-covered headlands and sweeping beaches. This is the longest walking day, enriched with guide-led stories, bush tucker tastings, and scenic lunch spots. By mid-afternoon, you’ll reach the restored Eddystone Point lighthouse cottage, where you’ll enjoy your final night with a shared meal and reflections on the journey.

Day 4 - Larapuna back to Launceston via Derby

Start your final day with early morning views from the top of Eddystone Point Lighthouse before breakfast back in the cottage. After breakfast, enjoy a guided walk exploring the cultural, historical, and natural significance of the Larapuna headland, including time at the lighthouse and surrounding sites. After lunch collected in Gladstone, the group returns to Launceston, arriving at approximately 3:30 pm.
