Whichever of the two apartments you opt for, you are getting a high level of comfort and plenty of little extras especially if you are travelling with children, making this a great example of a family-friendly, self-catering base.
As well as the comfortable extra-long, double bed with its non-feather pillows and electric blanket, there is extra sleeping space at no extra cost in the form of a sofa bed. Willowmere has heating and air conditioning, soundproofed rooms and a separate living area, as well as a patio and garden.
The bathroom has complimentary toiletries and a hair dryer and a shower or bath. The kitchen is equipped with an oven and stove, a microwave, a refrigerator, a toaster, the all-important tools for making tea and coffee, a dishwasher and you have barbecue equipment to boot.
There is a television with a DVD player, and a collection of films, as well as children’s toys, books, music, board games, and the property has tiled or carpeted floors, depending on which apartment you choose, as well as safety features such as smoke detectors and fire extinguishers. Laundry equipment includes a washing machine and ironing tools, and there is a wardrobe for you to keep your clothes in, plus a fan.
While you are staying here, a free continental breakfast is provided. The patio is furnished, so you can enjoy your meals al fresco if you wish. It’s a beautiful area to stay in, and the views in the garden are lovely. The whole non-smoking, pet-free property is on the ground floor, so wheelchair access is not a problem.
Among the ways you can spend your time while staying at Willowmere, Port Sorell Golf Club, Ghost Rock Vineyard and Shearwater Park are all about five minutes away by car, and so too is Panatana Paddling Pool and Family Park, just perfect if you are travelling with children. Port Sorell Conservation Area is not far away to the east, and you have the whole of Tasmania’s beautiful northern coast to explore, all from a base just a quarter of an hour’s drive from Devonport Airport.
