Waves & Whitehorses – Beach Side Property
Although this is quite a small cabin, it has a beach-front location with superb views, and you certainly get a comfortable night’s sleep here, along with a good kitchen, a television and heating.
The double bed, with bedding included, is surrounded by natural light through large windows, one of which is almost floor to ceiling, while there is a three-quarter bath that has a shower over it in the bathroom, as well as soap, shampoo, toilet paper, towels and a hair dryer. Hot water, heating hangers, extra blankets and pillows, a washing machine, free undercover parking with space for a boat – these essentials are part of Waves & Whitehorses too.
Over in the kitchen there is an oven and stove top, a microwave, a fridge and several pieces of cookware, some dishes and various items of cutlery. For your safety and peace of mind, the property also has a fire extinguisher, a smoke detector and a first-aid kit. For your entertainment, there is a television, and for that knife-like crease in your denims, an iron. Your hosts have even provided the ingredients for your breakfast.
Outside there is a deck area with seating, and here you can find a barbecue set so you can cook up a good grill while watching the waves wash against the nearby shore, or do a bit of stargazing at night. Down your own private path is a rocky beach about 150 metres away, and as you wander the coast of Leith there are a number of shady spots if you are looking for respite from the sun, or places where you can do just the opposite.
You are about halfway between Ulverstone and Devonport at Waves & Whitehorses, so whether you are interested in the Don River Railway, Ulverstone History Museum, Devonport Regional Gallery or simply escaping it all and relaxing with one of the property’s books (including adult colouring books), part of a book-exchange that the owners are running, a couple or a solo traveller will find a lot to do. Slightly nearer than either town is a general store, off-licence (a.k.a. bottle shop) and service station at the Forth Village Store, and Devonport Airport (DPO) is roughly a quarter of an hour away by car.
This Leith cabin is on the beach, 0.6 mi (0.9 km) from Lillico Beach Conservation Area, and within 6 mi (10 km) of Lillico Beach and Turners Beach. Shropshire Park and Don Heads Conservation Area are also within 6 mi (10 km).
This smoke-free cabin features a garden and barbecue grills.
The cabin provides a kitchen with a refrigerator, an oven, a stovetop, and a microwave. For a bit of entertainment, a TV comes with a DVD player, and guests can also appreciate conveniences like a washing machine and a dining area.
