Tranquility Waters
Spectacular views of the river and space for six adults are just two of the selling points for this self-contained holiday home, in wine and lavender territory and under an hour’s drive from Launceston.
Two of the bedrooms are quite large, with a queen-size bed in each, and there is a smaller one with a king-size bed or two singles. Luxury bedding and linen are provided and the owners do allow more than six guests, although it is only inflatable mattresses that are provided in that case. A real bath, with a shower over it, can be found in the bathroom, where there is also a powerful heater which may come in handy if you are staying at Tranquility Waters during the colder times of the year.
As well as a well-equipped kitchen that includes an oven and stove top, a microwave, wine glasses, a coffee plunger, a dining table and chairs, plenty of preparation space, you have the use of a washing machine and dryer, two plasma televisions with DVD players, a CD player, reverse-cycle air conditioning, a high chair and a selection of books and games for all ages.
Tranquility Waters is also equipped with blackout blinds, has a superbly furnished lounge that receives a great deal of natural light, and includes a balcony and a garden.
For a quiet, relaxing getaway you could spend all your time here or down on the jetty, but if you are in the mood for some exploration then as well as the local lavender farm you can find a number of wineries in the area. Under thirty minutes by car there are the attractions of Seahorse and Platypus world as well as Beaconsfield Mine, while Low Head Penguin Tours and the town of Launceston, home to the world-famous Cataract Gorge, are in the region of forty minutes’ drive from the property.
Situated in Kayena, this vacation home is within 6 mi (10 km) of Goaty Hill Wines, Iron Pot Bay Vineyard, and Holm Oak Vineyards. Batman Bridge and Moores Hill are also within 6 mi (10 km).
