For adults only, there are five luxury, self-contained suites in the centre of George Town, by the river and close to restaurants, cafes and a supermarket.
In addition to a sumptuously furnished queen and single bed, your suite has a bathroom with a shower, heated towel rails and a hair dryer. There is air conditioning and windows that open, an LCD television, a DVD and CD player along with a selection of films and music, a radio, a mini-bar, a pod coffee maker and a supply of pods, as well as a selection of teas, bottled water, milk and even some port.
Not only that but each suite at The Charles Robbins has laundry equipment that includes a washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing board, wireless or high-speed internet, a desk, and whenever you need rubbish collected or linens changed, just ask the staff. You have the suite to yourself without intrusion otherwise.
Depending on the suite, you can also have a sauna, a massage chair, a desktop computer, a spa bath, an extra television, a Sony Playstation or an absolutely breathtaking view of York Cove from the suite’s kitchen. Parking is free, and for a surcharge you may purchase additional tea, coffee, sugar, milk, bottled water and port during your stay.
Just across the road is a supermarket so you don’t have to go far to get provisions. You are also close to a fine collection of cafes and restaurants. The Charles Robbins is an ideal base if you are interested in exploring the cool-climate wine route of the Tamar Valley, going on the very best penguin tour Tasmania has to offer at Low Head, or exploring the history of the area on the Heritage Route, which starts here in George Town.
Situated near the beach, this luxury apartment building is steps from George Town Memorial Hall and Bass & Flinders Centre. George Town Watch House and Elizabeth Park are also within 10 minutes.
