A two-bedroom apartment is furnished with a queen bed and two singles. It is also possible, on request, to have an additional pull-out sofa bed. Each apartment has a balcony, some with a view of the river. Alternatively, you could stay in a studio apartment, also with a queen bed plus a single. Cataract Gorge is obviously the first place to visit if you have not been to Launceston before. Other attractions worth taking a look at include Penny Royal Adventures, the 1842 Museum and Tasmania Zoo. The villas are just to the north of Launceston, so if you are not travelling by car then you can make use of the good public-transport system and take a bus in, although it is not all that far to cover the distance on foot.
