In 2018, Hotels Combined gave Sherwood View Accommodation a Recognition of Excellence, rated 9.3 by guests, and it is obvious how this was earned when you take a look at what is on offer. Between three and five guests can stay in an exceptionally high level of comfort in a Two-Bedroom Unit, with a queen bed, two singles and an optional fold-down, a Large Studio (as before but with one single), a Spa Unit with a queen bed and a fold-down double, or an Executive Studio with a queen and single bed.
Each has a bathroom, one of which is wheelchair-accessible and one has a spa bath as its name implies. There are kitchen and laundry facilities, one has a private deck with a barbecue and one has access to a gazebo, also with barbecue facilities. All guests at Sherwood View Accommodation have the use of free wireless internet, free parking, and there is a free continental breakfast hamper every day. The smoke-free property also has a lovely garden you can relax in (there are outdoor smoking areas if you are part of the tobacco-using minority) and the staff can provide luggage storage and a variety of business services. For a surcharge you are welcome to bring your pet with you.
For those interested in finding out what they have to cook with, there is an oven, stove top, microwave, tea and coffee-maker, plus a collection of cutlery and crockery. You have entertainment provided in the form of a flat-screen television and DVD player, and there is even a public phone at your disposal. Heating, a clock radio, insect screens, an iron and ironing board, an electric blanket, and even if you book a room without a veranda or balcony, you have wonderful views of the countryside. The owners would also like to add that they are gay-friendly, so that’s pretty much everything covered.
Sherwood View Accommodation is in the region of Cradle Mountain, about seventy-five minutes away by car. Much nearer, just fifty metres in fact, is the relaxation centre The Quiet Cone. Head into Latrobe town centre and you can find a mixture of shops (especially antique shops), cafes, restaurants and plenty of heritage buildings.
Located in Latrobe, this aparthotel is within 9 mi (15 km) of Australian Axeman’s Hall of Fame, Devonport Golf Club, and Don River Railway. Devonport Ferry Terminal and Devonport Regional Gallery are also within 12 mi (20 km).

The location was fantastic for exploring the area - and we very much enjoyed the peace and comfort on our return each day. The hosts were lovely and obviously take great pleasure in welcoming people to their beautiful property.
We stayed here for 2 nights before sailing home on the Princess. Very quiet, very clean,very comfortable. Lovely views of the surrounding countryside,great bathroom with huge shower, Comfortable bed and generous breakfast supplies. There is also a laundry with washing machine and dryer. You might like to experience "the cone" while you are staying here.A short drive from Latrobe where there are a variety of stores and choices of places to eat. A pleasant end to a lovely holiday in Tasmania.
We stayed at Sherwood View for our first night in Tassie after we got off the Spirit. Our 2 bedroom unit was well appointed, warm and comfortable, suiting our family of 5 very well. The breakfast provisions were wholesome and plentiful, catering for a range of tastes. The hosts were friendly, leaving the lights on for us when we had a late arrival. The shower was hot with good pressure and the heater worked a treat. We highly recommend Sherwood View.
