Rumah Kita

Let’s start with the sleeping arrangements: The master bedroom, on the entrance level, has its own en-suite bathroom, then there are two more rooms on the top floor, one with a queen bed and the other with a twin. On the same level you can find another bathroom, a separate toilet and a lounge area, as well as an outdoor deck. Between these floors is the kitchen, a dining room with a table that can seat eight, and a wonderful open fireplace, plus another deck area.

As well as the fireplace, warmth comes from underfloor heating meaning that even in the winter months Rumah Kita is a cosy place to live in. For those who prefer to stay indoors, the large DVD-equipped television, the CD player and the table tennis are some of the entertainments on offer, while outdoors there is patio furniture and a barbecue set.

Not far from Rumah Kita, which, in case you are interested, translates as ‘Our Home’ in Malay, is the exquisitely beautiful Wineglass Bay and also Cape Tourville. Swimming, canoeing, fishing and tours by either boat or plane are available along the Freycinet coast, and if you drive a little further you can reach either Hobart or Launceston in a little over a couple of hours.
