Rocklyn House – Quiet, Convenient & Central Location

Over in Rocklyn House’s kitchen, the chef in your group has the use of an oven, an electric stove top, a microwave, refrigerator, a toaster, a kettle, a Nespresso pod coffee machine and some Vittoria pods, an assortment of cookware and all the crockery and cutlery for eight. A breakfast hamper has something for all in your party and, just for good measure, you even have a dishwasher!

As for the goodies in the lounge, you can entertain yourselves with a 3-D television, complete with viewing glasses, Netflix, NBN wireless internet, and there is even an 8-ball table. For younger guests, you will find some games and toys, in addition to a number of books. The person who gets the main bedroom can also watch TV on their own smart set.

The whole property is exclusively for your use, so you won’t be sharing it with other guests, and it has air conditioning, free parking, a washing machine, clothes dryer, laundry line and clothes trough plus laundry detergent, electric blankets (for all beds, not just the main ones), a small fan heater, and for a more conventional way to warm yourself up during the colder months, you can enjoy a real wood-burning stove which even has a ready supply of firewood.

The fully renovated 1940s Rocklyn House is in Moonah, tucked away in a quiet cul-de-sac from where you can enjoy the view of the hills and river, and it takes only about ten minutes to drive to the Central Business District (CBD) of nearby Hobart. Alternatively, the world-famous MONA (Museum of Old and New Art), Salamanca Market or popular waterfront district are the same distance. It does not take long to reach a supermarket, bakery, chemist’s, ice-cream parlour or a number of cafes from the property, and your friendly and helpful hosts have even included a number of leaflets concerning what sort of places are worth seeing, along with local bus timetables, maps of where to go bush-walking and an assortment of takeaway menus.
