The twenty-four rooms are furnished and equipped to a high standard, while the friendly staff help with everything from tour and ticket booking to serving an excellent, cooked Bumper Breakfast, in the picturesque Deloraine, little more than half an hour from Launceston.
Nearly all of the rooms include a queen bed, and extra guests are accommodated with additional single beds, all of course including bedding. Even in the Small Budget Twin Room, containing two singles, you have, like in all the other rooms, a bathroom, heating, electric blankets, opening windows, an LCD television and DVD player, a desk, an iron and a full-size ironing board, a direct-dial phone, a clock-radio, a dining table and chairs, a toaster, a refrigerator and facilities for making tea and coffee.

For a souvenir, you can purchase a reproduction piece of earthenware crockery if you like.
If you have not seen Deloraine before, it is a mixture of farmland and mountains in the distance, quite a place for hiking or a getaway from the more built-up parts of Tasmania. However, it is also a good base for day trips out to Devonport and Launceston, so the coast with its miles of sandy beaches or the scenic delights of Cataract Gorge are easy to reach from Mountain View Country Inn. Launceston Airport is roughly forty minutes away by car.
Situated in Deloraine, this motel is within a 15-minute walk of Yarns Artwork in Silk, Great Western Tiers Visitor Centre, and Deloraine and Districts Folk Museum. St. Marks Church is 1.2 mi (1.9 km) away.
