For example, a short stroll to Constitution Docks and you can find cafe, restaurants and souvenir markets, as well a be impressed by the huge juggernauts of the cruise liners that call by. Salamanca Market is probably the best known of the places for some open-air shopping, and it’s highly recommended that you pay at least one visit to the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens. With or without a guide, there is plenty of interest, including Franklin Square, Tasmanian Transport Museum Station (with steam-hauled trips twice a month), Playhouse Theatre and both the North Hobart Oval and Tasmanian Hockey Centre, all just about a quarter of an hour’s drive from Hobart International Airport.
Located in Hobart Central Business District, this bed & breakfast is within a 10-minute walk of Australian Army Museum Tasmania and St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Markree House Museum and Garden and St. David’s Cathedral are also within 15 minutes.
