Between two and five guests can stay in one of the three accommodation options, including a self-contained cottage or an apartment with a spa bath, making it a good base for visiting Strahan and exploring the surrounding district.
Apartment A at Kitty’s Place is on two levels, with two bedrooms and a spa bath. Apartment B, a one-bedroom chalet, has laundry facilities and one of this category has been adapted for ease of access by disabled guests. Both have Wi-Fi and full cooking facilities, including an oven, a fridge, a toaster, a microwave and the all-important tea and coffee-making gizmos.
The third option, Kitty’s Cottage, sleeps five, has Wi-Fi throughout the house, laundry, a lounge with a television, kitchen equipment that includes an oven, a microwave, a fridge and plenty of preparation space, blackout blinds and a lot more.
You have ironing equipment, a DVD player, an alarm clock, barbecue equipment and the possibility to borrow a high chair and a cot. Parking is available both in the street and off-street, and in some cases there are bathrobes provided with the property (linens and towels come with all of them).
Kitty’s Place is a couple of minutes’ drive, or a leisurely walk, from Strahan Visitor Centre, and if practising your putting or your swing is the ideal holiday activity, Strahan Golf Club is not far. There is a picturesque tour of the area awaiting you at Gordon River Cruises and anyone in your group who is keen on steam trains will love the West Coast Wilderness Railway just off to the east, around the bay. For something a little different, The Ship That Never Was is a locally performed play about a convict escape, which holds a rather interesting theatrical record…
On top of this, there is fishing, canoeing (that’s kayaking for those from other parts of the English-speaking world), four-wheel-drive adventures, sand boarding (yes, that really is a thing!) and the huge Ocean Beach to wander.
Situated in Strahan, this apartment building is within a 15-minute walk of Strahan Golf Club and Strahan Harbour. Botanical Garden Reserve and Hogarth Falls are also within 2 mi (3 km).
