The views of the ocean are stunning, the holiday home is spacious and incredibly well equipped, and the location has a relaxing, quiet feel to it, and all under half an hour from Hobart Airport.

With three bedrooms you can certainly get a lot of people into Jack’s Nest, and it is an ideal choice if you have children with you – the entire property has a fence all around it so there is no risk of anyone wandering off. Each of the bedrooms, with double or bunk beds complete with all bedding, has a fantastic view of the sea through huge sliding glass doors. The bathroom has a free-standing bath as well as a shower, and there is a separate toilet. Towels are provided and if you need a hair dryer, just ask the owner.

The kitchen and lounge form part of one open-plan room and the dining area can be extended onto the furnished deck outside if you like, where you will find a barbecue set. There is a cooker, with an oven and hobs, a full-size fridge, a microwave oven, a dishwasher and, in addition to tea and coffee-making equipment (including of course an electric kettle), all the crockery, utensils and cookware you could need for entertaining.

Jack’s Nest has a separate study, a television with Bluetooth speakers, a selection of games and books, a trampoline and slide in the garden, a fully-equipped laundry, air conditioning as well as a heat pump, garage parking for two cars (and a fair amount of local parking space as well) and free wireless internet.

The beach is very close, ideal for sheltered swimming (just move to a different part of the bay if the wind isn’t blowing where you want it) or intrepid surfers. One of the region’s most popular boat ramps is in the area, and the famous Port Arthur Historic Site is only about 45 minutes away by car. You might like to pay a visit to Port Arthur Lavender Farm on the way, where you can be sure of a good meal as well as numerous lavender-related treats.

Park Beach was only 3 minutes walk - we surfed every morning with our kids, spectacular views and location, thanks for a great holiday.
