Kick back and relax in the wonderful garden next to the lake, with fresh eggs and ham in the morning, being looked after by your cheerful and professional hosts.
The bedrooms have king or single beds, a radio, bedside lamp and comfortable bedding. There is a television in the living room, where during the day there is plenty of natural light. A view of the garden or the water is possible, with a lot of guests recommending the latter, with its more spacious bathroom. There are DVDs you can watch and a selection of magazines to read, and they serve afternoon tea as well.
Each of the two non-smoking apartments that make up Green Gables B&B has free wireless internet and free parking. Breakfast is included in the price of your stay, and you also have a microwave oven plus a fridge. The rooms are wheelchair-accessible, furnished to a high standard and have access to an attractive garden complete with outdoor furniture.
There are restaurants and cafes within a few miles of the B&B, such as Red Velvet Lounge and Cygnet Conservatory, as well as a wood-fired bakehouse.
Plenty of food-and-drink-related excursions are possible from Green Gables B&B, from wine and cider at Elsewhere Vineyard and Pagan Cider to cheese and chocolate at Grandvewe Farm & Cheesery and the nearby Cygneture Chocolates. Boat trips either by powered craft or by sail are a great way to see the beautiful scenery with Peppermint Bay Day Cruises and Sail Bruny. Cycling and hiking are also popular activities, and you can find out a little more about the area at Cygnet Living History Museum.

Lovely comfortable accommodation, fabulous location for exploring the Huon Valley, very welcoming host. Well appointed with excellent bed, wi fi TV etc. Afternoon tea also provided each day. Helpful with travel information.
Enjoyed our stay and the afternoon tea/cakes were a highlight! Great facilities - the rooms felt like home - and our charming host Paul (Beate was at Taste, I understand) took care of us. We stayed in the water view apartment for three nights and would stay here again.
