This self-contained holiday home is hugely spacious inside and set in even larger grounds, so you get the feeling of being remote while at the same time having both the beach and the practical conveniences of the shops and cafes close by.
Fish at Freycinet has three bedrooms, all supplied with top-quality bedding, two with queen beds and the third with a pair of singles. An infant’s cot is also available. The main room is an open-plan kitchen, dining room and lounge, and there is a second living area next to it. The bathroom has a shower and is supplied with towels, and there are laundry facilities which include a washing machine, a dryer, an iron and an ironing board.
A microwave, an oven with a stove and an extractor hood, a refrigerator and the essentials for making tea and coffee are among the items found in the kitchen, along with three barstool-type seats at the height of the work surface. The lounge area has a fireplace, a flat-screen television and a mixture of furniture which includes a sofa, four armchairs, a wooden table and a coffee table which doubles up as a storage box (imagine a re-purposed tea chest and you get the idea).
This is a place which is ideally suited for families with children. Fish at Freycinet has a large grassy area outside in the garden where children can play in safety. Other outdoor amenities include a furnished patio and a barbecue set. The property is for non-smokers, but for those wishing to bring a pet the rule is not exactly hard and fast, but contact the owners and they will consider it.
Parking is free and it takes under two hours to drive here from Launceston Airport. Despite the holiday home’s quiet setting, the town is nearby and that is where you can either stock up on provisions or enjoy the cafes, bars, restaurants and gift shops. Even nearer is the beach on Pelican Bay, while it does not take long to drive to either Sandpipers or Muirs Beach. Freycinet Marine Farm is just a minute away on foot, and if you brought a boat with you then you can make use of the boat ramp just two minutes’ drive from the property.
Situated near the beach, this vacation home is within a 5-minute walk of Freycinet Marine Farm and Coles Bay Conservation Area. Sandpiper Beach is 2.2 mi (3.6 km) away.
