Bruny Spa Retreat has all you need for your laundry, in the form of a washing machine, a dryer, an iron and an ironing board, and naturally there are bed sheets, at least one smoke detector, a fire extinguisher, heating and air conditioning. If you’d like to relax in the comfortable lounge area in front of the television, you’ll find it has a DVD, and for more old-fashioned entertainment, including items for children (Bruny Spa Retreat is child-friendly, although not really suitable for kids under two), board games and books. One major selling point of this pet-free, non-smokers’ holiday home is the spa bath, which few holiday properties in this region include.

Outside you have the run of an incredibly spacious yard, ample free parking, a veranda with a mixture of seating, a barbecue set, and the whole property is slightly elevated from its surroundings so that you can get something of a bird’s-eye view as the white wallabies come wandering along. A short walk (without any hills to climb) takes you to the beach, and Bruny Island itself is a paradise for bush-walkers and wildlife photographers. Nearby is the Adventure Bay store, so you are not going to have to worry about running out of provisions, and while you are not in a Wi-Fi area, there is Telstra mobile coverage which means that, while you are splendidly remote, you are not completely isolated.
