Bicheno by the Bay

Sheets, doonas, pillows, electric blankets, a hair dryer, a heater, a television with DVD player, oven, stove, microwave, fridge, cookware and utensils, a dining table and chairs, outdoor furniture and carpeted floors inside are all standard features in the bungalows at Bicheno By The Bay, plus lounge chairs, a couch or a divan. The motel units sleep two, with a sleepmaker queen bed furnished with quality linen and pillows, plus an electric blanket. There is a heat pump, a walk-in shower, a flat-screen television with a DVD player, tea and coffee-making equipment, plus both private and a communal decks, from where you can enjoy the tranquil views of an artificial lake.

The non-smoking, pet-free venue also has laundry facilities, including the loan of an iron and ironing board, free wireless internet in some areas, a children’s playground and the option to hire cribs for very young children.

From October to April you can enjoy the heated pool at Bicheno By The Bay, and there is also a tennis court, a canoe lake and a fire pit. Not only is the town centre close by but so is the unique rocky foreshore. If you venture outside the tranquil bush setting of the premises, there are attractions such as Bicheno Penguin Tours in the evening, the areas famous Blow Hole, the Foreshore Walking Track, Devils In The Dark Experience, and a great place for a picnic at the top of Whalers Lookout.

Other local attractions include glass-bottom-boat tours, fishing and sightseeing charters, scuba diving, golf, bowls, tennis, a variety of cafes and gift shops, and Freycinet National Park, including the beautiful Wineglass Bay, is about half an hour’s drive away.
