‘beachbreak’ Opossum Bay – Best on the Beach!

In the main living area there is a leather sofa which faces a huge, sliding glass door that leads onto the balcony, with an uninterrupted view of the sea. The same open-plan space has the kitchen at one end, with four bar-type stools, and the dining table at the other. This has space for eight, on two polished wooden benches.

You have the use of laundry equipment, in the form of a washing machine and dryer, with obviously an iron and board for doing the finishing touches. The whole place is heated, air-conditioned, fitted with Wi-Fi which is at your disposal for no extra cost, and you can park your car on the premises. Hangers are provided for your clothes, and for your peace of mind there are smoke detectors and a fire extinguisher. A television with Chromecast, a stereo, a number of books and games and some children’s toys mean you have something to keep you entertained indoors, and outside there is a garden, a balcony and a barbecue set.

A few steps take you directly to the beach, where there it is safe for swimming and perfect for watching the sun set. Nearby it is possible to hire equipment for cycling, surfing, snorkelling, windsurfing and scuba diving. There are a number of walking and cycling routes, and you can join a local eco-tour or two – whale watching is particularly popular round here.

The Opossum Bay Store is within walking distance, where you can get hold of all manner of provisions and more. A drive of just over half an hour is all it takes to reach Beachbreak, Opossum Bay from HBA Hobart International Airport, and other places a similar distance from this holiday home include Wrest Point Casino and Salamanca Place.
