at the beach – Stanley

Your master bedroom has a queen bed while the second has a king or two singles (this can be arranged before your arrival). Your At The Beach Stanley cottage comes with a good selection of food in the larder, an electric kettle and a top-quality coffee machine, so you won’t have to rush around finding supplies while you are unpacking. Having said that, you are well placed for provisions, and for those who don’t go in for self-catering, eateries and bars. There’s also wifi in the cottage, included in the price.

The bathroom has a proper tub so you can enjoy a warm, relaxing soak at the end of a day’s sightseeing, trekking or idling on the beach. The cottage has a well equipped kitchen and a spacious lounge, with a couple of sofas, a coffee table, dining table and seating on the outside porch where, right across the road from At The Beach Stanley, is the beach, as the name implies. The view here is fantastic, especially at sunset or sunrise. The second cottage is called ‘Not Quite At The Beach’ and, while it does not have the same coastal view, is closer to the town centre.

Stanley is of course famous for the Tarkine Wilderness and a popular flat-topped mountain called ‘The Nut’, well worth a visit when you are in this neck of the woods.
