Things to do in the area: Drive up Mount Wellington - take a picnic and enjoy it at the Chalet, high up and overlooking Hobart City. Drive to Richmond and browse among the craft galleries and unique shops. Visit the Coal River Valley wineries for a lazy afternoon among the vineyards. Check out the eclectic restaurants, bars and shops of Salamanca Place on Hobart's Waterfront.

How to get there: Fly into Hobart. Drive towards Hobart city, crossing the Tasman Bridge. Moorilla is to the north of the City - take the Brooker Highway through Glenorchy and watch for the signs. MONA and the Moorilla Vineyard Estate is on a point of land jutting out into the Derwent River at Berriedale. If flying into Launceston, drive 2 hours south on Hwy#1 (Heritage Highway). MONA and Moorilla is on your left as you drive into Hobart.

Things to do in the area: Climb the Nut, or ride the chairlift. Take the Seal Cruise, Visit Woolnorth Wind Farm, drive 40 minutes into the bush to Dip Falls. A one hour drive to Marrawah and Arthur's River takes you to the "Edge of the World" - unbelievable coastline. Feel the winds of the "Roaring 40's' in your teeth, then tuck into your apartment high on the hill for another night of country relaxation.

How to get there: Fly into Wynyard. Drive towards Smithton and watch for the turnoff to Stanley. You can't miss it. It takes about an hour to drive to Stanley from Wynyard, and the road is first rate. If flying into Launceston, drive 2 hours west on Hwy#1.
