The Historic Battery Point area runs from Salamanca Place and is an area of 1800's cottages, terraces and houses lining winding, narrow streets that make you feel as though you are experiencing a bygone age.

Our suggestion is that you concentrate your search for Hobart hotels and accommodation on anywhere within a kilometer of the City Centre. This will put you within easy walking walking distance of all the waterfront attractions, restaurants, shops and the style that is a part of Hobart life. If staying at the Casino, or at MONA, expect to be a cab ride from the city.
